Aerial Honeycomb Adventure: Bespoke Indoor Rope‑Net Play Space for Shopping Mall

2025-03-20

Address: Qingdao, Shandong, China

Area: 120㎡

This custom indoor rope‑net playground was fully implemented for Poly Plaza in Qingdao, Shandong, China. The project covers multi‑level play space with two stacked activity decks. Starting from 3D conceptual modelling, we delivered complete on‑site manufacturing, installation and commissioning, turning design renderings into a safe, fully‑functional soft play facility. It integrates honeycomb rope nets, traversing net tunnels, obstacle courses, slides and hanging net ornaments, creating an immersive climbing and exploring zone for children of multiple age groups.

The playground adopts a two‑tier spatial layout. The lower level features large‑scale honeycomb net structures, while woven rope‑net tunnels vertically connect upper and lower floors for free circulation between levels. On the upper deck, a huge central honeycomb net forms the core play zone, surrounded by looping obstacle passageways. Complementary play elements including slide runs, swing net balls and circular climbing openings are embedded throughout the perimeter. Custom woven colour patterns are applied on net surfaces to enrich visual layers, matching modern commercial‑mall interior aesthetics.

All woven rope net components use high‑strength, wear‑resistant safety rope material compliant with indoor playground standards. Net mesh size, load‑bearing capacity and edge padding are strictly engineered for children’s play scenarios. Every joint, hanging point and frame connection receives reinforced treatment. Our team followed the 3D model precisely during on‑site assembly, fine‑tuning net tension, passage dimensions and component positioning. Real‑site photos verify high consistency between finished installation and original design solution.

Delivered for a high‑traffic shopping‑mall client, this multi‑level rope‑net attraction delivers strong visual appeal and diversified play experiences. It encourages kids to climb, crawl, balance and interact physically. For mall operators, the distinctive woven‑net installation works both as functional play equipment and an eye‑catching interior feature.
